A Hawk is a political-economic term used to mean someone who is concerned with the use of interest rates in their relation to fiscal policy in the economy (including a rise in interest rates) and for taking a hard line with other states in politics when situations arise in which their country can come out better due to others being worse off. Hawks usually enter into military conflicts when they believe it will lead to a flourishing of their state.
